16th Summer School: Islam in the Contemporary World

The Center for Advanced Studies (Sarajevo), in cooperation with its partners, is pleased to invite applications for the CAS Summer School “Islam in the Contemporary World.“
Program Focus
This dynamic and interdisciplinary program brings together students and distinguished scholars to explore some of the most pressing questions shaping the contemporary Muslim experience.
Participants will engage with key topics, including:
- Key issues in contemporary Islamic thought
- Islam in Europe

Ahmet Alibašić, Ardian Muhaj, Mentor Beqa, Emir Hadžikadunić, Đermana Kurić, Linda Hyökki, Dževada Garić, Muhamed Jusić, Musa Musai, Omer Kajoshaj, and Sehija Dedović.
Who Can Apply?
- Senior BA students based in Europe
- MA students
What We Offer:
- Organized transportation (car, bus, or train)
- Accommodation (multi-bed rooms)
- Halal meals throughout the program
- A unique opportunity to learn, network, and exchange ideas in an international environment
Travel expenses for students from the Balkans will be covered (subject to conditions). Participants traveling from outside the Balkans are expected to cover their travel expenses to and from Podgorica or Sarajevo, while the organizers will cover all other costs.

- Participants must have valid health insurance
